Rod Baker - Second Revolution

Rod Baker - Second Revolution (Pathway 1001. 1967)

Here's a lost raga-rock gem. Recently compiled by Gray on California Love-In.

Nothing so far has been unearthed on the mysterious Rod Baker, although the 45 was produced by Ex-Limelighter Alex Hassilev, which points to a West Coast location.

Having just discovered this awesome blog today, I've put everything I have to do on hold and have been downloading, researching, listening, commenting (occasionally) all morning. I have to say, this is the best track I've yet heard. Five stars, no question. Don't know if the mysterious "Rod Baker" is singing on this track, but if I didn't know better I'd think it was Colin Blunstone of the Zombies. Who knows what those guys were doing after they finished Odessey & Oracle and the band split up--maybe anticipating John Lennon's Lost Weekend in L.A., hangin' out, popping into studios, etc. Hmmmm.

Interesting theory! Sounds like US singer to these ears though. Somebody out there MUST know who Rod is!
