Stuarts - Just A Little Bit More

Stuarts - Just A Little Bit More (Ascot 2209. 1966)

A stomping garage popper from the same folks who wrote for The Strangeloves and The Sheep.

Raiders - You Gotta Have A Man

Raiders - You Gotta Have A Man (Kory 1256. 1965)

Not Paul Revere's bunch, but a different outfit from Corry, PA. They do pump out a good PNW style sound though.

Neal Ford & The Fanatics - Pain

Neal Ford & The Fanatics - Pain (Hickory 1468. 1967)

Has there every been a singles compilation of this superb Houston band? I havn't heard all their 45's but from what i've heard there are very few duds amongst them. "Pain" is another great punker.

Top Side is "Get Together With Me"

R. Dean Taylor - There's A Ghost In My House

R. Dean Taylor - There's A Ghost In My House (Tamla Motown 896. 1967)

Canadian born Taylor was a songwriter and performer for Motown, but it was this Holland/Dozier/Holland composition that gave him his first real hit. It failed to take off in the US but hit No.3 in the UK charts, and features a great fuzz guitar throughout.

Titanic - Sultana

Titanic - Sultana (CBS 5365. 1971)

Titanic were a Norwegian band that contained one member from the UK. They had a hit in the UK with this funky Santana influenced 45, and then headed off into hard rock territory as the decade progressed.

Guy Darrell - Big Louie / My Way Of Thinking

Guy Darrell - Big Louie / My Way Of Thinking (CBS 202296. 1966)

Let's stick with the UK.

This time with a great double-sided from the guy who gave us a blistering version of Evil Woman, as well a good selection of pop, soul and mod 45s.
